IBM Report on Internet Security Trends and Riska

IBM has just lanched its new X-Force Trend and Risk Report which is produced twice per year. This report provides statistical information about all aspects of threats that affect Internet security, including software vulnerabilities and public exploitation, malware, spam, phishing, web-based threats, and general cyber criminal activity.

We usually have our security team study the report and then they present their findings to the rest of the IT organization.

Thanks for sharing this is very valuable ..

Security is turning into our single biggest challenge .. these reports are useful in many ways, they help you get a handle on what is going on, you can use them with your executive team to demonstrate the grave security situation and they can be good subjects for internal updates which we run regularly about security and other IT developments.

That is very interesting but we tend to make sure we look at multiple reports before we act based on any single reports, especially those released by vendros.
