Actually I think SMEs have been too slow to adopt the best bet that the IT industry has presented to them.
In the cloud an SME can use the best applications which they might not be able to afford when hosted inhouse but the adoption has been slow particularly in the Gulf.
I think the blame goes to a generally techically unenlighted management and small time IT managers who want to protect their jobs, they see the cloud as threat, it takes away the iron and the daily admin work. The work which is seen to justify their existance.
I see IT people impeding the change and the adoption of the clould in SMEs
