VMware VMmark® is a free tool that hardware vendors, virtualization software vendors and other organizations use to measure the performance and scalability of applications running in virtualized environments. Get an accurate measurement of your virtual data center performance with VMmark , the industry's first virtualization platform benchmark for x86-based computers.
Transaction Processing Performance Council
The Transaction Processing Performance Council (TPC) is a non-profit organization founded in 1988 to define transaction processing and database benchmarks and to disseminate objective, verifiable TPC performance data to the industry. TPC benchmarks are used in evaluating the performance of computer systems; the results are published on the TPC web site.
Storage Performance Council
The goal of the SPC is to serve as a catalyst for performance improvement in storage subsystems. It works to foster the free and open exchange of ideas and information, and to ensure fair and vigorous competition between vendors as a means of improving the products and services available to the general public.
In support of its goals the SPC develops benchmarks focusing on storage subsystems. These subsystems include components like: electronic disks, magnetic disks, magnetic tapes, optical disks, media robots, media robot software systems, media library software systems, backup/archival software systems, hierarchical storage management systems, as well as the adapters, controllers, and networks that connect storage devices to the computer system.
The SPC is also focused on expanding the recognition and use of its industry-standard benchmarks as well as publicizing those benchmark results. As a result, customers will be able to more accurately assess the performance and price/performance of competing storage products prior to acquisition.
Standard Performance Evaluation Corporation
The Standard Performance Evaluation Corporation (SPEC) is a non-profit corporation formed to establish, maintain and endorse a standardized set of relevant benchmarks that can be applied to the newest generation of high-performance computers. SPEC develops benchmark suites and also reviews and publishes submitted results from our member organizations and other benchmark licensees.
SAP Standard Application Benchmarks
SAP Standard Application Benchmarks help customers and partners find the appropriate hardware configuration for their IT solutions. Working in concert, SAP and our hardware partners developed the SAP Standard Application Benchmarks to test the hardware and database performance of SAP applications and components.
SAP Standard Application Benchmarks test the hardware and database performance of SAP applications and components. Access the two-tier and three-tier results for the Sales and Distribution (SD) Benchmark.
Oracle Applications Benchmark
Performance is of critical importance to Oracle Applications customers, and Oracle is committed to ensuring that Oracle Applications perform to exceptional standards. With the introduction of the standard version of the Oracle Applications Benchmark, Oracle makes a long-term public commitment to measuring and characterizing the performance of Oracle Applications.
The Oracle Applications Standard Benchmark is a comparable standard workload which demonstrates the performance and scalability of Oracle Applications and provides metrics for the comparison of Oracle Applications performance on different system configurations.
